Adios Sol

Just because the sun sets doesn't mean we can't grow some fresh basil.

Homemade strawberry pie.

Blueberry pie.

From the greenhouse come purple-yellow (sunset coloured) bell peppers.

Halibut. One of my favourites.

Tofu marinating in a heavy cream & ginger agent, to be drained and dipped into egg, then into Gingersnap cookie crumbs, then into flour. Deep fried.

Pork loin seared and stuffed with carmelized apples & Polish sausage.

Baked and topped with hot honey-apple marmelade.

Roasted red potatoes seasoned with rosemary.

The Gingersnap Tofu.

Halibut deepfried in a sweet pancake batter.

Blueberry and strawberry pies with whip cream.

The salad line.. local kale, pickled watermelon rind, mixed pickled veg., pickled locally grown cucumbers, fresh cajun croutons, locally grown basil, walnuts, dried cranberries, and feta cheese from NZ. And the fresh pear vinaigrette.

Better than Alaskan deepfried Halibut, this is the South Pole Bistro Baby.

Stuffed Pork, Gingersnap Tofu, and Fried Halibut.

Roasted tators, mixed veg., and corn chowda.

Bon appetite.

This has been the longest sunset I've ever witnessed. Can't wait to see stars.
